The VAWA will not become law unless the republican House passes it. 24 Senators voted against this act. ALL nay votes were Republican. 23 Republicans voted yea, All Democrats voted Yea. If this is true in the House, it will pass if and only if John Boehner allows a vote.
Over half of the Republican Senators do not believe in protection for women. How bad this would be if there was a Republican in the White House.
In 2014 we have a chance to fix the House. Don’t pass up this opportunity.
