The Patriot Act is the Anti-America, unconstitutional Republican National Committee brain child.
While refusing to take the actions necessary to reinstate protections established by the fourth amendment, republicans blame it on Obama. First, here is the fourth amendment:
Article [IV]
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
When Republicans ruled the White House, Senate, House of Representatives, and the US Supreme Court, they passed the “Patriot Act” destroying many of our personal freedoms by demanding the government spy on everyone without cause. This act is a mandate to the CIA and FBI and has been executed now for about 9 years.
When Democrats won a majority, Republicans filibustered every effort by Democrats to modify this destruction of American freedom. This law can be neither repealed nor altered by Obama alone. Congress pasted it, Dick Cheny GW Bush signed it, Congress must repeal it. This is a current example of “Destroy America and Blame it on Obama”
When will Congress act to reinstate our protections from unreasonable search? Not while the Republicans are in congress.
Current Legal complaints by the Associated Press may get some if not all of the Patriot Act removed by the current Supreme Court thanks to Obama appointed judges.
