What are you truly afraid of? America must find it’s courage.
The “cold war” against the former USSR and communism in general was a shooting war. 10’s of Thousands fought and died in the real “Battle Ground States” of the Middle East and Southeast Asia; Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Israel, Syria, and Turkey. (feel free to add to the list)
The dead include huge numbers of innocents and generations have suffered.
America must accept that the “Land of the Free” cannot exist separate from “The Home of the Brave”. “There have always been people who have to cause fears”. (Bob Dylan). The fear of communism has killed too many. Now, it is the fear of terrorists. Is America brave enough to combat terror with the spread of peace?
Driven by fear, the USA has spent nearly 70 years fighting in these states. I do now assert that Peaceful, humanitarian aid is the only productive action possible for the USA in these states.
As more weapons does not make a home safer, more weapons does not make the world safer.
Stronger defense and far less offense would save Trillions over the next 10 years. Our current Offense spending in extremely offensive. $8 trillion over the next 10 years if we don’t change our ways. These funds could be better spent spreading peace.
It is time to “give peace a chance”. (John Lennon, may he rest in peace.)
