In a complete failure to recognize a fellow human being when he sees one, Pennsylvania Commissioner compares health care for same sex spouses to health care for pets.
If that’s his personal opinion, he is entitled to it and entitled to keep it personal and live the life style he chooses. He is entitled to peaceably assemble with like minded bigots. He is entitled to speak, write and preach it.
As with all rights, comes responsibility. He has the responsibility to respect the rights of others to live, speak, assemble, and preach according to their choice. Failing in the responsibilities that come with rights is a crime against freedom.
Attempting to create government sponsored oppression is a crime against democracy, a crime against America. All peoples rights must be protected. Failing to protect the rights of LBGT’s threatens the ability to protect anyone’s rights.
Lehigh County Commissioner Tom Creighton on Wednesday explained that he was offering an amendment to strip the health care benefits for same sex spouses out of the county’s 2014 budget because “marriage is between a man and a woman.”
Love is not straight, gay, or lesbian, love is beauty’s own soul.
