“There are more men ennobled by study than by nature.” Marcus Tullius Cicero

John Stewart: “The thing about a moral compass is if you take it out and check it from time to time you don’t have to wait for history to tell you your heading in the wrong direction.”

This is wisdom for sure, in an ideal world it would be that simple.

Captain Jack Sparrow had a compass that did not point north. It pointed to the hart’s deepest desires. For each person that held the compass, it pointed a different direction. This is how the undisciplined moral compass leads.

In a free society each may follow their own path according to their own moral compass or simply follow someone else. That is why freedom is so problematic. Rarely do you find two moral compasses that point the same way.

The moral compass must be calibrated. Cicero recognized this and admonishes us to seek enlightenment through study. This is why education in a free society is paramount.

When selecting leadership we must ask “in what direction is the candidates moral compass calibrated?” It is by this we can know in what direction they will lead the country.

A few examples:

  • Mitt Romney tells us his compass setting when he stated “When I was younger I thought that being rich and famous would make me happy. Boy was I right.”
  • Paul Ryan tells us his compass is set by Ayn Rand.
  • Barack Obama tells us his compass setting when he developed his values by the example of lives lead by his mother and his grandmother.
  • Rand Paul demonstrates his compass setting when he supported the lunch counter owners refusal to serve blacks.

Each of these people leads by their moral compass. Each one leads in a different direction. The truth does come out.

Too Much Fear. Too Little Bravery. Be Brave and Walk in Peace.

No fear is to deny humanity. Bravery does not eliminate fear. Bravery overcomes fear.

There are a few in this country trying to create fear. They are trying to make Americans fearful of their elected leadership. They attempt to create fear of those sworn to “protect and defend the constitution of the United States.” It is the constitution that peacefully overthrows the US government on a routine basis.

The fear mongers are attempting to undermine America by trying to convince people to arm themselves against this peaceful system. Americans peacefully and routinely overthrow their government . That’s democracy. The anti-democracy fear mongers are unfortunately alive and well exorcising their constitutionally guaranteed right to be fearful and small.

Every president selects his own successor prior to being elected. The JFK assassination failed to overthrow his administration. JFK’s administration continued, automatically lead by his hand picked successor, until the constitution called for an election.

The 22nd amendment, ratified on February 27, 1951, set a peaceful system of overthrowing the US government every 2 terms, 10 years maximum, if the people do not overthrow it after 1 term.

  • In 1797 George Washington overthrew his own administration by going home.
  • Prior to the 22nd amendment, the people have risen up an overthrown every white house that did not overthrow itself as Washington did.

In recent history:

  • In 1968 the Johnson administration was overthrown when he decided not to continue.
  • in 1976, even though Nixon left office, his administration continued until the constitution call for an election and the people overthrew his hand picked successor.
  • In 1980 the people rose up and  overthrew the Carter administration.
  • In 1988 the constitution overthrew the Reagan administration.
  • In 1992 the people rose up and overthrew the George H Bush administration.
  • In 2000 The constitution overthrew the Clinton Administration.
  • In 2008 the constitution overthrew the George W Bush administration.
  • In 2016 it will overthrow the Obama Administration.

This peaceful system of transition of power leaves no need for anyone who supports the US Constitution to arm themselves against the US government. The fear mongers refuse to participate in a land of the free and the home of the brave. To enjoy the benefits of democracy requires the individual to find their personal power.

The path of peace is paved with personal power.

Rand Paul preaches “Trickle Down Reagan-omics” at Howard University

Rand Paul’s ignorance, distortions, and deceptions, Part II.

During his lecture Rand Paul praises the economic growth during Reagan’s presidency as a model to follow.

  • Reagan raised taxes.
    • Paul opposes tax increases.
    • (Obama calls for tax increases)
  • Reagan expanded the size of government 1.5 million employees.
    • Paul calls for smaller government.
    • (Obama has cut nearly 800,000 government jobs)
  • Reagan increased the military with a $1 Trillion dollar peace time build up.
    • Rand Paul does love this about Reagan.
    • Obama has reduced military spending.
  • All this he did with deficit spending.
    •  Blaming federal deficit as the cause of poor economic growth, Paul calls for austerity to balance the budget.
    • Obama has reduced the deficit every year in office and calls for easing down the deficit.

The only things Reagan and Paul have in common is they were both republicans and loved spending money to threaten the world. Paul claims that the republican party has not changed. Paul needs to be a student not a lecturer.

Rand Paul exposes his bigotry and Howard University.

While listening very carefully to what Rand Paul said at Howard University I found too many distortions, deceptions, and far too much ignorance to fit in one post. So this will be a series.

Part 1: Rand Paul’s ignorance of his own bigotry.

When questioned in 2010 interview.

INTERVIEWER: But under your philosophy, it would be okay for Dr. King not to be served at the counter at Woolworth’s?

Rand Paul defends the owner’s right to refuse service. He then claims to have always supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This makes sense to Rand Paul thus demonstrating bigotry at its worst.

Protect Rich Thievs Who Rape American Families. “Bank Regulators” = “Grafters”

Republican PAC lobbing effort failed to keep Senator Warren off the Senate Bank Commitee and now we have at least one congresspreson who is on the side of American families. Senator Elizabeth Warren makes it clear that Bank regulators are protecting thieves. They have no concern for the American families whose homes were stolen by these Bankers. These bank regulators need to be more than prosecuted, they should be persecuted.

Senator Warren is exposing the graft in the US financial system. These grafters are hiding behind their government positions and should not be allowed to leave their government jobs for positions on Wall street, they should be jailed.

National Definition of Marrage. Lawyers Make Things So Complicated.

Lawyers make things so complicated. This is too basic to put in an article or a clause. People may give a large variety of excuses to get married but it all boils down to Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The founding principal is so simple. The sooner we accept it the sooner we can stop debating it and just get on with doing it.

US marshals should be dispatched to protect and defend against infringement of the right of the people to peacably assemble.

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution:

Article II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The US Supreme court interpreted this as referring to an armed civilian population. The Court did not strike down the first three words “a well regulated”

The fact that about 12,000 US citizens are killed by guns each year is proof that the civilian militia is not “well regulated”.

This lack of regulation is a failure of the Congress of the United States to carry out their constitutionally mandated responsibility to protect and defend America against a clear and present domestic threat.

The number of households with firearms is falling. Sales of deadly weaponry are at an all time high. This strongly indicates that a small percentage of the population is building an unregulated military force inside America. This private military is not answerable to any elected government but is lead by radical anti-America leadership.

These groups have openly defied and threatened the people and their elected representatives. A Town Hall meeting with Senator Ginny Burdick and Representative Jennifer Williamson was cancelled due to criminal threats of murder.

This state senator was deprived of her right to peaceably assemble with her constituents. Those involved in propagating death threats and disrupting the meetings are criminals without respect for the United States Constitution which equates to subversion.

Wayne La Pierre Cries Foul!

The Nations top gun salesman is screaming foul about NY City mayor Bloomberg trying to “buy America”. This is can only be seen as foul if Wayne feels American is his, bought and paid for.

It appears to be true that the NRA has indeed claimed ownership of congress. Additionally in the past both the courts and the White House were in Wayne La Pierre’s pocket. It appears now that, maybe, it was only a lease and someone else is making a competitive bid.

Wayne does not respect Bloomberg’s 1st amendment rights to free speech. Nor does he respect the right to life of the over 3000 people killed by guns in the past 100 days. Nor does he respect the 2nd amendment responsibility of Congress to regulate the civilian militia.

Continually claiming that regulation will not “work”, Wayne must define “work” as a complete halt of gun death. If that is a good definition then he is correct. Other government actions such as DWI laws, safer highways, and other measures have not stopped traffic deaths, only reduced deaths from 50,000 a year to 30,000 a year saving some 20,000 lives last year.

If “gun regulation works” is defined by saving some lives, then he is dead wrong, maybe his own life will be saved, maybe mine. If congress does find it’s conscience they will save lives granting many innocents the right to continue to breath. This would not doubt be foul in the mind of Wayne La Pierre.

The Unregulated Militia is Unconstitutional.

The Second Amendment demands regulation.

Article [II]

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

How is the Current unregulated militia working out? I challenge anyone/everyone to do the following searches. This is a short list. “officer shot”. “shot by spouse”. “shot by son”. “shot by daughter”. “child accidentally shot”. Please post your searches as comments.

The current unregulated militia is killing thousands in America every year, more that terrorists, more than war, more than abortion. The number one threat to safety in America is the existence of a militia that is out of control.

The problem is growing. Mass murder brings the issue to media attention. The daily carnage in America is so common place that it is ignored. This fact alone demands attention. Congress has a duty to act.
