Rand Paul preaches “Trickle Down Reagan-omics” at Howard University

Rand Paul’s ignorance, distortions, and deceptions, Part II.

During his lecture Rand Paul praises the economic growth during Reagan’s presidency as a model to follow.

  • Reagan raised taxes.
    • Paul opposes tax increases.
    • (Obama calls for tax increases)
  • Reagan expanded the size of government 1.5 million employees.
    • Paul calls for smaller government.
    • (Obama has cut nearly 800,000 government jobs)
  • Reagan increased the military with a $1 Trillion dollar peace time build up.
    • Rand Paul does love this about Reagan.
    • Obama has reduced military spending.
  • All this he did with deficit spending.
    •  Blaming federal deficit as the cause of poor economic growth, Paul calls for austerity to balance the budget.
    • Obama has reduced the deficit every year in office and calls for easing down the deficit.

The only things Reagan and Paul have in common is they were both republicans and loved spending money to threaten the world. Paul claims that the republican party has not changed. Paul needs to be a student not a lecturer.

Protect Rich Thievs Who Rape American Families. “Bank Regulators” = “Grafters”

Republican PAC lobbing effort failed to keep Senator Warren off the Senate Bank Commitee and now we have at least one congresspreson who is on the side of American families. Senator Elizabeth Warren makes it clear that Bank regulators are protecting thieves. They have no concern for the American families whose homes were stolen by these Bankers. These bank regulators need to be more than prosecuted, they should be persecuted.

Senator Warren is exposing the graft in the US financial system. These grafters are hiding behind their government positions and should not be allowed to leave their government jobs for positions on Wall street, they should be jailed.

Senate Budget Passed 50-49 Ending 4 Years of Republican Filibuster.

It took all night, but at 4:30 am the US Senate Passed a budget “proposal” to send to the House.

According to the US Constitution Article 1, Section 7, clause 1: “All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.”

I am anxious to hear the new excuse the House will present in order to cater to the Aristocracy and refuse to “Represent” US citizens.

Refusing to Negotiate or Compromise, the House of Representatives Tells America: We Are a Poor Country With No Resources, Except for War.

The house continues to refuse to negotiate. The Romney plan, passed twice by the House, was rejected twice. The presidents plan presented to the House shortly after the election and posted on the internet, has been totally ignored. John Boehner admitted “where’s the presidents plan? I haven’t seen it.”

Negotiation requires both plans be modified in compromise until they agree. The Ryan Budget which passed the house yesterday does the opposite. The Ryan Budget is even more egregious to the President, the Senate, and the working class than the Romney plan.

Ryan’s grandstanding denying the truth, “We want to balance the budget, they don’t”. The truth is the Republican war mongering and depression of the working class created the deficits that have been reduced every year since the GOP lost the white house. Democrats have done a lot to work toward a balance budget. The “balance the budget” claim is obviously smoke screen for his increases in Military spending, more war.

The “Destroy Obama at All Costs” is alive and well, even if it leaves some Americans to starve, many to die of easily treatable illnesses, children homeless, educational opportunities denied, and the economy in depression.

The Ryan budget tells us that America is too poor a nation and must let the hungry starve and leave the sick untended, children living in the street, and those who thirst for knowledge in ignorance. The Ryan budget shows no hint of “Christian Values”.

A person with a few million dollars in the bank will not suffer. The working class, 98% of America will. All democrats and only 10 republicans see the above facts. Boehner, Ryan, and friends must be too out of touch to understand the pain they cause or they just don’t care.

Paul Ryan Budget Promotes Growth of “Too Big To Fail”.

Paul Ryan and friends deny the most basic concepts of American Democracy.

If Government was “Of the People, By the People, and For the People”, the working class could build a country where:

  • Everyone would have food.
  • Everyone would have a roof over their heads.
  • Everyone could get an education.
  • Everyone could see a doctor when they needed to.
  • Everyone would be safe from police harassment.
  • Background checks to buy firearms would be law.
  • Assault Weapons would be banned.
  • Democrats would be a majority in the US House of Representatives.
  • All Americans could marry the person of their choice.
  • Every child born would be wanted.
  • Poverty would be a free choice, not a circumstance of birth.
  • All citizens would respect, not fear, the government.
  • The world would respect, not fear, America.
  • Every American would be proud of their country.

Paul Ryan budget shows that “too big to fail” is not big enough. Interfering with the biggest getting bigger is government overreach. Protecting the the working class form the tyranny of the rich and powerful is  government overreach. in this area he calls for smaller government.

Paul Ryan budget proposal fights against government interference with  the freedom to starve, freedom to die if your sick, freedom be victimized if your weak, etc. To interfere with these rights would be government overreach.

Government must be big enough to go far beyond defense and threaten the world with military force. In this area Paul Ryan promotes growth.

Government must be big enough to restrict freedom to choose who you marry and what you and your doctor decides is best for your health. Here Ryan also calls for growth of the reach of government.

The only economic growth promoted by the Ryan budget is more “to big to fail”. This type of growth is temporary. As demonstrated in 2008, when the working class is depressed, the economy fails all classes, the rich included.

Ryan promotes a system that is prejudicial against the working class. Ryan learned nothing from the cycles of recession of the past 30 years. By the labor and consumerism of the working class, the rich get richer. When the working class prospers the country prospers and visa verse.

Note to Note to Michele Backmann: The President is not into distortions and false statements.

Michele Backmann Stated that the president will not tell you 70 cents of every dollar goes to benefit bureaucrats. Of course he won’t, because it is not true. Obama leaves distortions and false statements to the Tea Party.

Medicaid Doctors cut their fees and their own incomes to accept a lower Medicaid rate. Landlords cut their rent charges to accept housing subsidies as full payment. They receive payment directly from the government for providing services to the poor. That accounts for the true statement that 70 cents of every dollar goes to those who serve the poor.

Backmann falsely interprets “those who serve the poor” as meaning Bureaucrats. Michele Backmann again shows her gross ignorance by her false inflammatory rhetoric and shameless grandstanding that further poisons the dialog preventing reasonable debate.

These types of statements from Michele do qualify her as a great Tea Party spokesman.

NJ, Governor Chris Christie Reveals His Bigotry

NJ, Governor Chris Christie, who said “language matters; language is a window into attitude.”, revealed his attitude calling a Black Man “BOY”. There is no reason for this, only poor excuses so no excuse will be offered.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/03/15/gov-chris-christie-calls-african-american-man-boy-during-town-hall-meeting/

This bigoted attitude is holding American back. The lack of respect and dignity Governor Christie has shown toward education, the hungry, and the sick is best explained by N.J. Sen. Barbara Buono. I urge you to follow this link and read the truth about Governor Christie real attitudes as proven by his actions. http://www.buonoforgovernor.com/

Refusing to Negotiate, Paul Ryan Continues Rhetorically Inflamitory Grandstanding.

The US Senate did pass a bipartisan budget bill. If it were not a bipartisan bill it would have been filibustered by the GOP.

John Boehner prevented negotiation by taking every proposal from the president to a press conference with statements like “He can’t be serious”. Paul Ryan continues to refuse to negotiate taking the newly passed Senate budget bill to the press conference and saying “they’re blowing smoke”.

Negotiating between the House and the Senate is traditionally done in committee. Without distraction from the press, all previous congresses have worked through their differences and produced a functional budget by sitting down and negotiating a compromise. The GOP refuses to do anything like this.

Eric Cantor, republican majority leader in the House, demonstrated the “my way or highway” attitude stating “If Obama is unwilling to stop trying to raise taxes there is now way we can lay aside our differences”. We can lay aside our differences? Raising taxes is the differences. Obama must do all he says or no deal will be made.

The president has no vote in congress. When the GOP House leadership ceases the inflammatory rhetoric and engages in more productive dialog with the Senate, then a deal will be reached.

One example on why minimum wage should rise.

Minimum Wage Employees open Walmart stores.

Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, has not opened a store in over 60 years.  David Glass, current CEO of Walmart has never opened a store.   S. Robson Walton, current chairman of the Board has never opened a Walmart store.

Walmart stores open around the world. They open, and some remain open 24/7 by minimum wage labor. Without the labor of minimum wage employees Walmart sells nothing, nowhere, nohow at no time. Walmart makes no money, the Walton family fortune does not exist. The $11 billion a year in corporate profits do not exist.

My point is simple. Working people create $11 billion in profits for the 1%.  The 1% creates poverty for the worker. $1 an hour raise would put over $2,000 a year in the pockets of these people. The workers are also customers and thus have an additional $2,000 each to spend at Walmart.

Walmart and every other business would grow and be more profitable if they paid a fair wage. The only reason not to is greed.
