Rand Paul preaches “Trickle Down Reagan-omics” at Howard University

Rand Paul’s ignorance, distortions, and deceptions, Part II.

During his lecture Rand Paul praises the economic growth during Reagan’s presidency as a model to follow.

  • Reagan raised taxes.
    • Paul opposes tax increases.
    • (Obama calls for tax increases)
  • Reagan expanded the size of government 1.5 million employees.
    • Paul calls for smaller government.
    • (Obama has cut nearly 800,000 government jobs)
  • Reagan increased the military with a $1 Trillion dollar peace time build up.
    • Rand Paul does love this about Reagan.
    • Obama has reduced military spending.
  • All this he did with deficit spending.
    •  Blaming federal deficit as the cause of poor economic growth, Paul calls for austerity to balance the budget.
    • Obama has reduced the deficit every year in office and calls for easing down the deficit.

The only things Reagan and Paul have in common is they were both republicans and loved spending money to threaten the world. Paul claims that the republican party has not changed. Paul needs to be a student not a lecturer.

Rand Paul exposes his bigotry and Howard University.

While listening very carefully to what Rand Paul said at Howard University I found too many distortions, deceptions, and far too much ignorance to fit in one post. So this will be a series.

Part 1: Rand Paul’s ignorance of his own bigotry.

When questioned in 2010 interview.

INTERVIEWER: But under your philosophy, it would be okay for Dr. King not to be served at the counter at Woolworth’s?

Rand Paul defends the owner’s right to refuse service. He then claims to have always supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This makes sense to Rand Paul thus demonstrating bigotry at its worst.

Refusing to Negotiate or Compromise, the House of Representatives Tells America: We Are a Poor Country With No Resources, Except for War.

The house continues to refuse to negotiate. The Romney plan, passed twice by the House, was rejected twice. The presidents plan presented to the House shortly after the election and posted on the internet, has been totally ignored. John Boehner admitted “where’s the presidents plan? I haven’t seen it.”

Negotiation requires both plans be modified in compromise until they agree. The Ryan Budget which passed the house yesterday does the opposite. The Ryan Budget is even more egregious to the President, the Senate, and the working class than the Romney plan.

Ryan’s grandstanding denying the truth, “We want to balance the budget, they don’t”. The truth is the Republican war mongering and depression of the working class created the deficits that have been reduced every year since the GOP lost the white house. Democrats have done a lot to work toward a balance budget. The “balance the budget” claim is obviously smoke screen for his increases in Military spending, more war.

The “Destroy Obama at All Costs” is alive and well, even if it leaves some Americans to starve, many to die of easily treatable illnesses, children homeless, educational opportunities denied, and the economy in depression.

The Ryan budget tells us that America is too poor a nation and must let the hungry starve and leave the sick untended, children living in the street, and those who thirst for knowledge in ignorance. The Ryan budget shows no hint of “Christian Values”.

A person with a few million dollars in the bank will not suffer. The working class, 98% of America will. All democrats and only 10 republicans see the above facts. Boehner, Ryan, and friends must be too out of touch to understand the pain they cause or they just don’t care.

To the Right Wing racist, they all look alike.

“viewers of last night’s History Channel movie “The Bible” had to do a double take at the stunning resemblance between Mohamen Mehdi Ouzaani, the actor who played the devil, and America’s top dog.” http://omg.yahoo.com/news/tv-devil-looks-suspiciously-barack-obama-real-life-205500452.html;_ylt=AwrNUbA_6khRnAUATs7QtDMD

Only if all black men look alike to you. Do a self check, how racist are your eyes?

Note to Note to Michele Backmann: The President is not into distortions and false statements.

Michele Backmann Stated that the president will not tell you 70 cents of every dollar goes to benefit bureaucrats. Of course he won’t, because it is not true. Obama leaves distortions and false statements to the Tea Party.

Medicaid Doctors cut their fees and their own incomes to accept a lower Medicaid rate. Landlords cut their rent charges to accept housing subsidies as full payment. They receive payment directly from the government for providing services to the poor. That accounts for the true statement that 70 cents of every dollar goes to those who serve the poor.

Backmann falsely interprets “those who serve the poor” as meaning Bureaucrats. Michele Backmann again shows her gross ignorance by her false inflammatory rhetoric and shameless grandstanding that further poisons the dialog preventing reasonable debate.

These types of statements from Michele do qualify her as a great Tea Party spokesman.

NJ, Governor Chris Christie Reveals His Bigotry

NJ, Governor Chris Christie, who said “language matters; language is a window into attitude.”, revealed his attitude calling a Black Man “BOY”. There is no reason for this, only poor excuses so no excuse will be offered.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/03/15/gov-chris-christie-calls-african-american-man-boy-during-town-hall-meeting/

This bigoted attitude is holding American back. The lack of respect and dignity Governor Christie has shown toward education, the hungry, and the sick is best explained by N.J. Sen. Barbara Buono. I urge you to follow this link and read the truth about Governor Christie real attitudes as proven by his actions. http://www.buonoforgovernor.com/

CPAC Breeds Bigotry at its Worst.

When racism, sexism, prejudice, and bigotry are allowed and supported in any form it inevitably will be taken to extreme as witnessed at CPAC. The leadership of Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio, and others is to blame.

30-year-old Scott Terry of North Carolina fails to recognize a human being when he sees one. There is no defense for treating human beings as livestock. It is a sad commentary that this has to be said.

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/03/15/cpac-attendee-defends-slavery-because-slave-owners-provided-food-and-shelter/

I keep my horses locked in pens when not in use. I feed them and build them shelter. Human beings are Not livestock.

I have kept cattle confined in pastures and bred them for financial gain. Human beings are not livestock.

If you are a republican who wants to change the party simply fill in the correct form and your party is changed.

How Sexist is Mitch McConnell? Just Listen to Him and He Will Tell You.

Mitch McConnell(R), Senate minority leader, stated “Democratic candidates for the 2016 presidential race looks like a rerun of the ‘Golden Girls'”. He continues to point out the the Republican leadership is 100% male. His audience, The Conservative Political Action Committee, aka CPAC, gives him a round of laughter and applause.

Mitch is good at not only demonstrating his own sexist view but also bringing out the view of the GOP.

Giving women a voice in congress is a joke?

I wonder what Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty would say about Mitch.

Anti-Abortion Movement is Inherently Class and Racially Unequal.

I stand firmly against any action by any individual, family, group, religion, court, legislature, state,  country, or any other entity that creates an atmosphere of fear, humiliation, or isolation coercing the individual to self destruction.

The Anti-abortion movement creates an atmosphere of fear, humiliation, isolation and coercion along the lines of race and class. This shows no respect for the Constitution of the United States.

The rich have been able to access clinics both inside the US and off shore for the purpose of obtaining safe termination of pregnancy. Anti-abortion laws have always applied to the poor only.

Americans are protected from tyranny of Government, tyranny of the majority, and tyranny of a minority by the US Constitution. The US Constitution says what the US Supreme court interprets it to say. Roe v Wade attempted to balance the argument of when life begins and the practicality of the ability to legislate control of a woman’s body.

Mississippi governor Phil Bryant falsely brags that they are nearing the end of abortion in Mississippi.  The constitutionally mandated access to health care by the poor is all but eliminated. Woman’s health clinics are still available if a woman can pay.

Any women with health insurance or other financial means can, in the state of Mississippi or any other state, can go to a private doctor and legally, privately,  make the choice to terminate her pregnancy without government or heckler interference and harassment.

Even when abortion was illegal, women with money could, in the US, obtain an abortion in a hospital or clinic.

A women with the means to travel outside the US may obtain competent medical care to terminate a pregnancy regardless of US law.

Illegal Abortion was the number one cause of maternal fatality in the Post WWII era America. Since class and race are tied, the vast majority of fatalities from abortion are Black or Hispanic. Most White women find a way to afford safe medical care.

Fact: Prohibition  did not stop abortion. Prohibition only oppresses and further disenfranchises the poor.

  • Reduce violence: Starving people are not happy people.
  • Increase hope: Starvation steals hope.
  • Increase Patriotism: A country that cannot feed its poor is not worth believing in.
  • Decrease the disenfranchised: A meal says the nation cares.
  • (I ask the reader to leave comments and grow this list)
